Alliance Airlines Maintenance Hangar

Alliance Airlines support local manufacturing and engineering by engaging with Penti-M Engineering Australia.

The all new $60 million aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility officially opened Wednesday, 1st November 2023 at Rockhampton Airport, allowing 120 highly skilled aviation jobs to come back home to Australia, as well as supporting 16 new, traineeships and apprenticeships.

The new precinct means Alliance can service their fleet of 70 aircraft right here in Rockhampton, instead of their current maintenance contracts in Slovakia and the United Kingdom.

It also opens up a raft of new opportunities for Queensland suppliers for avionics, aerospace technologies, wheels, tyres, brakes and landing gear, engine maintenance, interiors and upholstery and cabin accessories.

The milestone project is a huge boost for the Rockhampton community and provides a lot of exciting opportunity for future talent to work within the aviation industry in their home town. The three-bay hangar is capable of housing three Embraer E190 or Boeing 737 aircrafts and is the most modern facility in Australia.

Our team provided our services to Alliance Airlines for the fit-out of the new hangar, stores and workshop areas.

The process of fitting out the hangar in preparation for certification and service was critical. Our focus on quality and local presence meant that all of the large equipment could be manufactured locally. We could also deliver immediately at a fraction of the price.

Our experience in solving problems and providing solutions meant that the end results were simply exceptional! We think the pictures speak for themselves.
